Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion

The leader of the X-Men, Scott Summers, and I have been in communication with each other, hoping there was some way we could show that both our teams can come together for a morale building activity, and we've decided to hold a baseball game, Avengers against the X-Men, no powers barred. The game will be held on Saturday, February 12th. This is meant to be done in the spirit of good will, so no fighting, name calling and etc.

Part of the deal is that Scott and I have decided that Rouge will be asked to sit out of the game, while on our side I'll have to ask Carol and Erik to do the same. Emotions are still quite raw, we don't want to open up old wounds.

We are going to need positions on our team filled. I am signing myself up as the Catcher. If anybody is interested in participating, let me know here.

I'll be gone for most of the day, taking part in Veterans Day Observances at Arlington National Cemetery and then to Walter Reed Army Medical Center to meet with some of the returning soldiers from Iraq who are being hospitalized there.

I've been reviewing the video tapes and am deeply disturbed that our would-be attacker on Tuesday carried a shield exactly like mine. It's possible that some villain may try to impersonate me in the future.

Is anything else known about the mystery man, besides the fact that he asked about a Miley Cyrus concert?

My flight to Hawaii leaves in a couple of hours. The President requested me to speak at the national observance of Pearl Harbor Day, tomorrow. I'll be returning to New York City on Friday the 10th. In my absence, Jan is in charge.

I thought that while I'm in the general area, I could spend some time inspecting our West Coast facilities?

Remember, the HYDRA submarine is still being tracked and we should continue to be on guard.

It's come to my attention through Central Command, that an unauthorized individual, or group of individuals, attempted to hack into SHIELD's computer mainframe. An investigation is taking place, yielding negative results. We've been notified to reexamine our own computer encryption to ensure our information is safe.

In addition, a HYDRA submarine has been located off the coast of Maine, heading South. EC Avengers have been put on alert.

I've just been notified by SHIELD that there's a disturbance in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Somebody evidently acquired Bruce's Hulk powers and is now on a rampage through the city. It's going to take both of our teams to subdue him.

Avengers Assemble! East Coast Avengers, meet me in the hanger, immediately - we'll take the Quinjet.

Let us all pause to remember the solemn occasion of this day, the brave women and men in the United States' armed service who sacrifices their lives in in the line of duty.

I have officially returned from my break. I arrived Friday evening, and spent most of Saturday being debriefed as to events that occurred in my absence. Thank you, Jan, for taking the helm while I was away. It's a relief to hear that it's been fairly peaceful.

This is an unofficial check-in, to see how everybody is doing. The Avengers' reaction against the threat of Galactus was commendable. It makes me proud to be a member of this team.

I also have to mention that it's inspirational to see the United States take home so many gold medals in the Olympics.

Tony, when do you plan to move the West Coast Avengers to your new location?

shopping malls being bombed across the Nation. The assassination attempt on Senator Creed. Why haven't we been able to track down the Brotherhood? They still haven't paid for blowing up the Capitol Building. It's so damn frustrating.

If we find out who their supply sources are, it's possible to catch them that way. In the meantime, it's difficult to anticipate their next move. Security has been heightened in public places, but I want the Avengers to be ready at any moment, in case they attack New York City again.

I wonder about the logistics of setting up a trap to draw them out?
